2024 Marc Bredif Vouvray Classic

Vouvray is made from Chenin Blanc, a grape that doesn't get nearly enough love. Marc Brédif has been making it since 1893, in cellars dug deep into the soft white tufa rock of the Loire Valley. The Classic has a gentle touch of sweetness, balanced by lovely fresh acidity, so it tastes juicy rather than sugary. Honeyed apple, quince, pear and a little lemon. Spicy food, pork dishes and creamy goat's cheese are all fantastic partners.

2022 Philippe Chavy, Bourgogne Aligote | Winebuyers (57501045391740-215-215)

Looking for a crisp Burgundy white for everyday drinking? Philippe Chavy is better known for his Puligny-Montrachet, but alongside his Chardonnays he makes this zippy Aligoté. It's all about freshness: lemon zest, green apple and a hint of white pepper, with a slightly salty, mouth-watering finish. Pop it in the fridge and serve it with oysters, goat's cheese, or a plate of garlicky snails if you're feeling very French.

2020 Muga Reserva product image

2020 Muga Reserva

Muga`s standard Reserva is one of Rioja`s most reliable wines, showcasing the family`s traditional approach to winemaking. Fermented in oak vats and aged in a mix of French and American oak barrels from their own cooperage. The 2020 vintage was exceptional in Rioja, producing wines with ripe fruit, structure and freshness. Predominantly Tempranillo with supporting roles from Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano. Red cherry, strawberry and plum with vanilla, cinnamon and a touch of leather. Medium bodied with smooth tannins and bright acidity keeping everything lifted. The oak is present but not overwhelming, adding spice and texture without masking the fruit. There`s savoury complexity developing already with hints of tobacco and earth. Serve at room temperature (16-18°C). No decanting needed but won`t hurt if you have time. Excellent with tapas, grilled meats, cured ham, aged cheese, or tomato-based dishes. Drinking beautifully now, will continue to develop over 8-10 years.
