Terms of Use

These terms explain how Sipping may be used, what our editorial and affiliate service does, and where responsibility passes to third-party retailers.

Effective 5 October 2026

1. About Sipping

Sipping is a discovery, editorial, planning and comparison service for drinks, food pairings, experiences and related products. Unless a page expressly says otherwise, Sipping does not sell the third-party products shown on the site and does not take payment for them.

When you follow a retailer or booking link, any purchase is made with that third party and is governed by its own terms, prices, stock, delivery, returns, age-verification and cancellation rules.

2. Accounts and saved features

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for information you save to your account. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or third parties from misuse, security threats or unlawful activity.

3. Prices, availability and recommendations

Retailer feeds and external information can change. Sipping aims to keep prices, availability, delivery estimates, pairings and product information useful and current, but they are not guarantees. Check the retailer’s final information before buying. Editorial recommendations, rankings and taste matches are intended as guidance rather than professional advice.

4. Affiliate relationships

Some outbound links are affiliate links. If you follow one and make a qualifying purchase or booking, Sipping may receive a commission. Affiliate economics do not change the price you pay and are kept separate from our editorial taste-ranking logic. See the Affiliate Disclosure.

5. Alcohol

Alcohol-related content is for information and discovery. Alcohol purchasing links are intended for people who are legally old enough to buy alcohol in their location; in the UK this means 18 or over. Drink responsibly and never rely on Sipping content as medical, safety or legal advice.

6. Intellectual property

Sipping’s original text, design, databases, taxonomies, selection and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party trade marks, product names and permitted product imagery remain the property of their respective owners. You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes but may not systematically scrape, republish or commercially exploit it without permission.

7. Third-party services

Links can lead to retailers, affiliate networks, experience providers and other external services. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, Sipping is provided on an “as available” basis. We are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate third-party feeds, unavailable retailers, changes in price or stock, or decisions made solely from editorial content where it would be reasonable to verify the information independently.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the service develops. The effective date at the top of the page shows the current version. Material changes will be made reasonably prominent where appropriate.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

Operator information

Operator details must be completed before Search Console submission. The legal operator name, legal form, geographic business address, contact email and telephone number have deliberately not been guessed. They are held in one central configuration so they can be added once and shown consistently across Sipping.
