Why this wine matters
More than a famous label.
The producer makes Riesling a central part of its identity, and the 2024 Classic shows why the grape deserves more everyday attention: high aroma, high acidity and a relatively modest body.

Why this wine matters
The producer makes Riesling a central part of its identity, and the 2024 Classic shows why the grape deserves more everyday attention: high aroma, high acidity and a relatively modest body.
How it is made
Fruit from five estate Riesling blocks was hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed. Most fermented in stainless steel, with smaller portions in acacia barrel and sandstone vessel, then remained on ferment lees for about five months before blending.
What does it taste like?
Mandarin, wet stone and savoury notes lead into orange citrus and stone fruit, with a subtle beeswax character and a long mineral line of acidity.
Serve it well
Serve around 8–10°C. It is especially good with chilli, aromatic spice and seafood.
If this wine were human…
If Classic Riesling were human, it would be quick, precise and far more fun than the phrase “well informed” normally suggests.
Does any of this sound suspiciously familiar?
Quick, precise and far more fun than the phrase “well informed” normally suggests. You like confidence, but not the sort that needs to keep announcing itself.
At dinner, you are the person who quietly improves the seating plan without ever admitting there was a seating plan. Secretly, you like old-fashioned things when they are done with enough confidence to feel modern again.
In short: quick, precise and far more fun than the phrase “well informed” normally suggests. riesling energy, translated into a person.
Purely for fun — this is the wine’s fictional personality, not a psychological reading of yours.
