Why this wine matters

More than a famous label.

The tiny 0.9-hectare Punta vineyard sits at about 250m in Castiglione Falletto and has vines averaging around 60 years old. Azelia notes that Barbera historically occupied some of the best sites because it was once more highly prized locally than Nebbiolo.

How it is made

The decisions behind the style.

The wine is 100% Barbera, fermented for around 15 days and aged about 18 months in large casks.

What does it taste like?

The shape of the wine.

Blackberry, plum and forest berries meet sweet spice. The defining feature is the combination of vivid natural acidity with a firm yet gentle structure.

Purely for fun — this is the wine’s fictional personality, not a psychological reading of yours.
